The Tellico Nymph was born and breed in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina. It's the hillbilly that made it good in trout streams all over the world. What it imitates is still an unsolved mystery to this day but who cares as long as it catches trout. It is real popular around these parts in large (I mean #10 to #6) and also the smaller sizes. Notice in material list I called for yellow thread then brown. Start with yellow so that when we wrap the floss body, we can go back ovr it and the ribbing for reinforcement. It's also easier to wrap floss body without having to go around thread bobbin everytime.
Red Thread is used for illustration purposes.
